How do I maintain active status?
Be sure to inform us of any address or phone number change as soon as possible. At certain times we will send letters to families on the waiting list asking if they wish to remain on the waiting list. Those letters must be returned within a certain time frame per regulations. It is very important that we are able to get that letter to you and that you return it by the due date on the letter.
How do I update my information?
Per regulation, updates to applications must be done in writing. You can email us at info@mhacb.org or write us a letter and mail it to us or drop it off at our office.

Why is my status inactive?
The most common reason for an inactive status is our office has not received requested documentation stating your family wishes to remain on the waiting list. Inactive status could also be a result of your family reaching the top of the waiting list and MHA being unsuccessful in making contact with you. If you believe your inactive status is an error, please call us at 712.322.6931 or email us at info@mhacb.org.
If my status is inactive, can I reapply?
Absolutely. Please note that your position on the waiting list is subject to change based on the information on your new application and the date and time it is submitted.
